Beijing Day Trips Sidecar Tours

A popular mode of transport among expats who live in Beijing as well as some Chinese is the sidecar! How would you like it to see Beijing during the day or even by night aboard one of these unique sidecars?!

Sidecar Day Trip ‘Beijing Sights’

During the day your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a tour to see Beijing’s most famous sights.

You will drive around the Tiananmen Square, through the Forbidden City and on to Houhai. From there onwards to the Drum and Bell Tower and via the hutongs to the Lama Temple and back to your hotel.

Of course you will get time to take some pictures, but the trip is not aimed at visiting the sights.

Sidecar Trip ‘Beijing by night’

An alternative to the day trip is to see Beijing by night. The itenary is very similar to that of the day trip, but instead of going to the Lama Temple your driver will take you to the beautiful courtyard bar ‘Bed’ for a drink.

Sidecar Trip ‘Veuve at the Palace’

If you have to celebrate something or would like a really romantic evening cruise around Beijing, we recommend the special side car trip ‘Veuve at the Palace’.

After picking you up from your hotel, your driver takes you around Tiananmen Square. From there you will be taken inside the grounds of the Palace Museum, better known as the Forbidden City. There you can enjoy ice cold Veuve Clicquot Champagne!

Then you will cruise on to Houhai, the Drum and Bell Tower and through the hutongs back to your hotel.

General Information Sidecar Tours by Beijing Day Trips

All the above Sidecar Tours last approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic and the location of your hotel. If your hotel is located too far away from the city center, we might ask you to meet your driver at a more centrally located point.

The drivers that take you on your trip are all experienced drivers that own their side car. Most of them are foreigners and all speak English, most of them also speak an additional language.

A side car has maximum space for 2 passengers (2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child).

Tour prices depend on number of people and do not include sightseeing of the actual sight(s).

We need to receive your booking at least 1 week in advance.
