Beijing Day Trips - Great Wall at Jinshanling/Simatai

One of the best hikes on the Great Wall is on the Jinshanling/Simatai part.

The Great Wall at Jinshanling/Simatai is situated about 2.5-3 hours drive from Beijing, so you understand that we will leave very early in the morning.

Our private car will take us to the Great Wall at Jinshanling in Hebei Province. From there we have a 10km hike over the restored Great Wall to Simatai. It takes anywhere from 2.5 to 4 hours to get to the Great Wall at Simatai, with a couple of steep climbs and descents, all over stairs though.

During the hike you will have gorgeous views of the Great Wall winding its way over the mountains and you will certainly be able to take great pictures home with you to remember your impressive visit to the Great Wall at Jinshanling/Simatai!

After this great accomplishment, you can freshen up at the foot of the Great Wall at Simatai and then we will drive you back to Beijing.

We can take any number of people on this trip, at any day of the week and people of all ages can join this trip. However you need to be in reasonable good condition to make this trip as the Great Wall at Jinshangling/Simatai can sometimes be quite steep and you have to be able to walk the entire 10km as our private car will wait for us at Simatai.

For your convenience we will pick you up at your hotel.
As Jinshanling/Simatai Great Wall is quite a drive away from Beijing, we recommend to leave Beijing no later than 6am.
