The boat took us along the Imperial Canal to the pittoresk South Gate of the Summer Palace; from there we followed the West shore of the lake and had a sandwich lunch at the shore with a bottle of chilled Chardonnay. In the Summer Palace we visited the famous sights such as the Marble Boat and of course the Long Corridor.
