On December 22 Beijing Day Trips took 3 people on a day trip to the Great Wall at Jiankou for the 5km hike along the Wild Wall.
After the visit to the Great Wall, we went to the Olympic Green to see the new Olympic Stadiums and we got lucky: this time the guards let us in so we could walk on the grounds and see the Bird’s Nest (National Stadium), the Water Cube (National Aquatics Center), the National Fencing Gymnasium and the National Indoor Stadium from up close.
